“Modern-version-scholars (to justify their constant publishing of new versions) must maintain that translations cannot ever be infallible.

If we already have an infallible translation, what need is there of a new version every few years? For this reason (and others), the false teaching that only the original manuscripts of the Bible were inspired and infallible is promoted. The view that a translation could be the inspired Scriptures is mocked and derided with the greatest scorn. To further maintain their propaganda, these advocates of the new versions often claim that no ‘true scholar’ ever believed that a translation was the infallible, inspired Scriptures, etc. They then define the meaning of ‘true scholar’ so that anyone who teaches anything contrary to their great assumption does not qualify!” Joey Faust, The Word: God Will Keep It, p.239
