“Ever-Changing vs. Never Changing”
“For I am the LORD, I change not:” Malachi 3:6a
On a one-dollar, silver certificate, one finds the words, “IN
SILVER PAYABLE TO THE BEARER ON DEMAND.”The bill also states that there is one dollar’s worth of silver in
the U.S. Treasury to back or cover the bill (today … maybe).
Money is printed wildly by politicians and administrations,
and there is not enough gold or silver to cover the bills that are
printed. Today’s bills (since 1957) have Federal Reserve Note
printed on them. United States currency has changed dozens
of times in our nation’s history of existence. We all know it
will change in the future, and probably in your lifetime. It is
ever-changing.
There is something that NEVER changed and never will:
God’s love for mankind has not changed. It is never changing.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but
have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Jesus Christ, who was
God in the flesh (cf. John 1:1-3), gave His life to pay for our
sins, if we receive Him as our Saviour (cf. John 1:12). Jesus
Christ appears throughout the Bible, as He is: the same
yesterday, today and forever (see Heb. 13:8). He is NEVER
changing! One must trust this never-changing Saviour. “He
that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth
not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the
name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:18). It’s your
choice! -G.W.
