Rev. W. G., was born in Guilford Co., N. C., April 4, 1820; baptized by Barton Roby, Sept. 20, 1840; ordained in 1843; has been pastor of Flat Rock church for twenty-seven years; has baptized 1200 souls, constituted 5 churches, and aided in the ordination of 25 ministers; was mod- erator of the Yadkin Association for several years, and has three sons in the ministry.
