“The Incivility Of Hell”

“He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy till: …” Revelation 22:11a

There are a lot of elements of Hell that we are familiar with: the flames, the outer darkness, the seeming solitary existence among the billions of inhabitants of the horrible place. Think of this aspect a moment: Hell is a place of unrestrained incivility. There will be no policeman or jails. There will be no judges or courts of law to plead one’s case. There will be no churches, no Gospel preachers, no praying mothers, no loving friends, no faithful witnesses, no Bible, no tracts or kind warnings to flee the wrath that has come—one will be eternally bound to the dungeon of the damned. The filthy will still be filthy! The rapist will be filled with rapine. The thief’s minds will be filled with thievery. The foul-mouthed blasphemer will be drenched in the venom of his mouth. The filthy will be as filthy as ever, but all their desires for evil will go unfulfilled. The desires of the damned will be drowned in an ineffectual morass to satisfy their filthiness!

No one will worry about soiling their good name or be concerned about what others may think about them. Hatred and mayhem will be unleashed in an unmitigated manner, with no restraints or remorse. It will be more terrible than anyone could imagine.

Friend, tell someone today about the Saviour, Jesus Christ and the free gift of salvation that His Gospel provides. — T.G.
