“Led By The Spirit” – Romans 8:14

“Led By The Spirit”
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the
sons of God.” Romans 8:14
It is convicting to see what leads Christians. A farmer
found out that one of his cows had mad cow disease. The news
media spread the bad news. Americans almost immediately
stopped buying beef, and beef producers were concerned they
would suffer greatly. Americans have reacted to aspirin
scares, milk worries, computer scares and many more. Sad to
say, saved folk don’t seem to be any less moved. Would to
God, we would respond to the leading of the Holy Spirit with
the same concern.
Our Scripture says that the sons of God are to be led by His
Spirit. How often do you sense the leading of the Holy Spirit
that abides within you? Fellow Christian, I John chapter two
teaches us that if we are full of the world, we are not led of the
Spirit. We are not led if we grieve the Holy Ghost (Eph. 4:30).
We are not led if we quench the Spirit (I Thes. 5:19). We are
not led if we are disobedient to the plain words of Scripture.
A dedicated Christian desires the Holy Spirit to lead his
life. Here are some ways:
1. Make sure you have been delivered by God’s grace
(Rom. 8:9).
2. Delight yourself in Him and desire His blessing (Psa. 37:4).
3. Determine to walk in the Spirit (Romans 6-8).
4. Don’t undo in doubt what you did in faith (Heb. 11:6).
