I don’t think the revival of civility will occur as long as we tolerate bullying.

Favorites  · 11h  · I can have a discussion with someone else about my beliefs and convictions without feeling threatened by a differing opinion because I know what I believe and why. I can respect another person and their beliefs, though different than mine, and get along peacefully. Where things get a little dicey is when someone comes on my platform and berates me or someone else in the discussions. When the berating quickly evolves into blatant bullying, I take decisive action. After a polite warning and request for a change of behavior, if not forthcoming, I will unfriend and block the offender without regret. Civil discourse seems to be a dying practice that I would like to see revived. I don’t think the revival of civility will occur as long as we tolerate bullying.
