“Which Way?”
“Which Way?”
“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the
end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:12
The death of any movement is in going the route of
compromise instead of the route of Bible conviction. It is in
trying to accommodate a certain crowd that are leading in the
wrong direction.
Don’t just listen to what people are saying, look at the
direction they are turning. My dad made it a point to tell me
never to trust a turn signal. I learned not to pull out until I saw
clearly that the other driver was really going in the direction
that he was signaling. Take time to be sure of a man’s direction
before you tag along with him. He may be signaling that he’s
headed right while he’s planning a left-hand turn. He may be
saying “Fundamentalist” when he really intends to return to a
convention or liberal group and take you with him.
If I’m in New York and you are going to California, we
may cross paths at some point in time, but we aren’t traveling
together. I may be kind to you, but I cannot walk with you.
We don’t agree. We’re not headed in the same direction-so
we can’t walk together.
I intend to stay in agreement with God so that I can walk
with Him. I intend to follow the route His will has plainly
defined for me in the Bible. If you get in agreement with God
and the Bible, then we can walk together. – D.C.
