6h  · “According to St. Paul, women are not allowed to be public teachers in the church; for teaching is an office of authority.” (Matthew Henry) “But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence” (1 Tim 2:12). This includes not being teachers of Women’s Bible Studies in the church. “Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection” (1 Tim 2:11). We are to learn God’s Word from the biblically qualified men (pastors and elders) in the churches (1 Tim 3:1-7). If we have a question, we are to ask our husbands at home (1 Cor 14:35), not run to the women in a Women’s Bible Study. Older women are to teach the younger women biblical womanhood, preferably in their homes. “The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.” (Titus 2:3-5)

Author The Transformed Wife The only female who taught in a church was Jezebel. Read about her in Rev 2:20. There isn’t one women in the Bible who taught or spoke in a church gathering except for Jezebel. There was no Women’s Bible studies. Men wrote every book in the Bible. Jesus chose 12 Apostles who were men. Women aren’t allowed to teach in the churches because Adam was created first and Eve was deceived (1 Tim 2:13,14). We are commanded multiple times to be silent in the churches.
