Baptist on the banner represent those ancient people from the time of Christ that have been faithful to the doctrines of Christ down through the ages.

The two lions represent the ordinances of the church. Baptism and the Lords Supper. These try the faith of some. Baptism makes one a member of a scriptural Baptist church, and the table is the perpetual ordinance of the kingdom of Christ. We must be worthy to approach the table and by this we continually remain the executors of the New Testament.

The shield represents the faith of the Baptist of antiquity

The scripture on the shield is Luke 22:29-30 This scripture is when the church was established as the executor of the New Testament and the continuation of the visible kingdom of Christ on earth.

The new covenant called the New Testament was made with the house of Israel.

Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
Heb 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Heb 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

Christ made this covenant with the house of Israel and to them alone as he did the first Covenant called the Old a Testament . Because many but not all Jews were broken off because of unbelief, we could be grafted in. We are partakers of their spiritual things.

As the church which Christ started was assembled with him in the upper room, he established the Lords supper in which he said “in this cup is the New Testament “. To this New Testament church he also appointed the kingdom as it was set up by promise according Daniel 2:44 in the days of these kings of the Roman empire.

Luk 22:29-30 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me; (30) That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

The scriptural New Testament Church (I.e. scriptural Baptist church according to doctrine and not name).

As every kingdom consists of Laws, ordinances, authority, power, subjects, dominion, kingdom, rules, etc, the visible church became the divine depository of this kingdom making each true New Testament church and aggregate of this kingdom on earth known as an embassy. This is what is meant when Christ said “I appoint unto you a kingdom”.

Every Testament must have an executor to enforce the will of the Testator, in this case, Christ appointed this responsibility to the church beginning in the upper room. This is why true Baptist churches are never to legislate but are to be in the capacity of executive.

The lower banner states the following: ” Kingdom -Church – Body of Christ” Meaning that the body of Christ is the assembly of scripturally baptized believers which we call the visible church. The church is the visible kingdom of Christ on earth with all authority of heaven to prepare for His return.

The words below the lower banner state: One Lord – One Faith – One Baptism.

There is one Lord, One faith as it was once delivered to the saints and one baptism which is the baptism of John that is from heaven.

The Seven stars are the seven angels to the seven churches. The candlestick in each star on the flag represent the literal seven churches of Asia as found in the Revelation. These stars are positioned accordingly as they appear on a map. The star of David reminds us that our Lord Jesus Christ was a Jew and he established the New Testament with the house of Israel. The house of Israel as becoming a believing and baptized Jewish body were constituted into a New Testament church. The church was established by Christ during his earthly ministry. We as Gentiles are grafted in to this institution (NT Church) by way of Johns baptism.

The Star of David is placed within a shield. The Star was called in ancient times the shield of David.

It is to remind us of the promise that Christ will return and rebuild again the throne of David (tabernacle of David) and sit upon his throne during the millennial reign (in the regeneration) and rule the world.

Act 15:14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
Act 15:15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
Act 15:16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
Act 15:17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

I pledge allegiance to the Baptist flag
and to the doctrine for which it stands.
One Lord, One Faith, One baptism.
Contending for the faith until Christ returns
