WHAT DO ALL OF THESE VERSES HAVE IN COMMON? (I’ve wanted to post this for several days now!)
YOU WILL NEED TO PUT YOUR THINKING CAP ON!
Proverbs 10: 2 “Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.”
Proverbs 10:9 “He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.”
Proverbs 10:11 “The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.”
Proverbs 10:14 “Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.”
Proverbs 10:16 “The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.”
Proverbs 10:17 “He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.”
Proverbs 10:25 “The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.”
Q. How do we “become” righteous?
A. When we take on the righteousness of Jesus Christ by surrendering our lives to him!
At the moment we are saved, God Almighty places His Holy Spirit within us! We are placed into the body of believers called the “church”!
Unbelievers fear an eternity burning in darkness!
Q. What is the desire of the righteous?
A. To enter into heaven where light abounds WITHOUT darkness, where God exists, and where there is no fear or pain… EVER again!
The righteous (made that way by Jesus’ righteousness, Romans 6:3-11) desire to tell those who are lost about HOW to be saved by believing the lifesaving gospel about Jesus! This is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. Briefly, it states, that Jesus died on the cross paying the full cost of your sins, that He was buried, but three days later He arose from the grave according to the scriptures!
When you know that your good works can’t out-perform those of Jesus (which is what you would have to do to be saved by your good works) and you believe the gospel of Jesus Christ, you are then placed INTO Jesus Christ.
The ONLY treasure that you can collect and take WITH YOU onto YOUR FUTURE is SALVATION!
I just told you how to get that salvation (three paragraphs above)!
Q. So what’s the ultimate outcome for the two different types of people in these verses?
A. The foolish will NEVER EVER see heaven (because they have refused Jesus gift to them of eternal life) but they will spend their forever-afters burning in darkness.
People who are wise will spend their eternity in heaven, walking on streets of pure gold, bathed light, and given eternal bodies which can never be harmed again, and will last forever!
The best part is NOTHING will ever be able to separate us from God’s love which is found in Christ Jesus!
Romans 8:39 “Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Where you spend your eternity is completely up to you!
God will NEVER force you to follow him!
When you think about it, it is impossible to come up with a better plan to save your life forever as Jesus Christ did!
