The Reassurance Of Reaping Galatians 6:7 Numbers 32:23

“The Reassurance Of Reaping” “But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out. ” Numbers 32:23 A sister verse to our text is Galatians 6:7, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Mark it down, borderline leaning always leads to borderline living. Friend, you and I need to realize that private sin is going to bring public scandal! There are three places where sin will eventually be perceived: The Hearth, The Home and The Hereafter. A place where sin blows the whistle and is always perceived is in The Hearth (see Gen. 13:12). Brother Lot’s wrong decision to put his cattle before his children, turned out to be one of the saddest tragedies on the pages of Scripture (cf. Gen. 19:32). For the sake of your children, and one day your grandchildren, keep the Bible the bedrock of your home, and run Beelzebub out the backdoor of your house! (see Deut. 6:6-9). Another place where sin sounds the warning and is always seen is in The Heart (Judges 14:2). Brother Samson’s wrong desire for a wife outside of the faith will follow him all the way to the Philistine prison house (Judges 16:21). If you will guard your spiritual ticker, you’ll never have to worry about going down the sinful trail! (Pro. 4:23). A final place where sin echoes eternally and is always observed is The Hereafter (H Tim. 4:10a). Brother Demas’s *. willful departure to quit the ministry translates to disgrace at the Judgment Seat of Christ (II Cor. 5:10). No saint skates from unconfessed wrong on earth or in eternity. God will eventually balance the books (I Tim. 5:24). — J.H.
