Verses for the Day:
“And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. 10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: 11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Mark 1:9-11
Daily Bible Study:
Read “What Is Wrong with Sin?” at: https://www.devotionsfromthebible.com/…/what-is-wrong…/
God desires us to stay as far away from sin as possible, because committing sin will cost the sinner more than he would ever want to pay.

Prayer Requests:
Daine Park asks that we pray for her friend, Deborah, who is dealing with the side affects of two radiation treatments for her cancer. It is affecting her being able to sleep. Her chemo is to start on May 10th. Petition the Lord for her healing.
Please pray for Deb McCoy. She has little energy and is struggling with forgetting things and even coming up with the right words to say. Her kidneys are continuing to not do well and she still is having pain in her foot. Medications are being adjusted in hopes that they will help her situations.
Your prayer need could be posted here!
“Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.” James 4:2

Do You Love Your Country Enough to Pray for It?
Bill Brinkworth
Most would admit today’s America is not the same America that flourished and was blessed by God in the past. There are those in government that are attempting frightening, unscriptural changes. They are trying to “improve” it, but their ways will further weaken this nation and destroy what is left of morality.
Government is not the solution that will change America the right way. Complaining amongst ourselves will not change anything either. What has in the past, and what can change it today, is God’s help!
If Americans will humble themselves, and seek God’s intervention and control of their future, America can once again be a proud, strong, moral nation. In the past, when Americans joined each other in prayer, God has turned this nation around. If you love this country, as I do, and want the Almighty’s help, please join with me in daily praying for our nation.
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” II Chronicles 7:14
