“Death Without Parole”

“And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and nightfor ever and ever. ” Revelation 20:10

Recently, I heard about a man and his son that committed some awful atrocities against the daughter and sister in their home. The judge told them that what he had heard about this crime was the wickedest and most evil things he had ever heard of in all his years on the bench. The father was given two life sentences without the possibility of parole. The son was given a similar sentence.

Have you ever given it any consideration of what it means for a person to go into eternity without being saved? Revelation 20:14 tells us that their final abode is called the Lake of Fire and is referred to as “the second death.” The next verse instructs us that anyone, whose name is in the Lamb’s Book of Life, will not be cast into this Lake of Fire. We know from verse ten that this sentence is forever!

Simply put, a man who refuses to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (John 3:16-17), a person who refuses to born again (John 3:3-5), will be facing eternity in Hell fire, without the possibility of parole. The second death is a death sentence forever. You need to think on that for a minute and maybe it will inspire you to be a better witness or to get saved yourself. Think about it! — P.H.
