Surely There Can’t Be A Hell
“Surely There Can’t Be A Hell” “And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: ” Mark 9:43 There seems to be very little preaching on Hell. It is rarely mentioned among Christians, yet, Jesus was very adamant concerning Hell. Would a loving God send anyone to Hell? John 3 not only tells of God’s love but of His wrath. Note that the love of Jesus could not keep the rich young ruler in Mark 10 out of Hell. Some might say, “Aren’t we all the children of God?” The answer is NO! We are all the creation of God, but Jesus told the unbelievers in John 8:44 that they were of their father the devil. You might think that God would overlook a lifetime of good works, yet Jesus said in Matthew 7:21-23, that many with good works were lost. In April of 2004, National Geographic gave some interesting facts about the earth’s crust. The deepest engineers can go with a well is about seven-plus miles. At that depth the rocks are soft like plastic. The wells collapse at any deeper depth. The earth’s core according to scientists in London is 9,932 degrees, almost as hot as the sun. Geology itself points to a burning Hell in the center of the earth. The truth of Hell is what motivated me to get saved. Let us wake up and warn the lost, just like we were warned. — C.S.
