I’m tired of political and social agendas that are pushed at the expense of women.I hear all this talk of empowering women to make lifestyle choices that they want. But what I see is if a woman chooses the path of being “just” a wife and mother she is thought of as settling or having low ambitions; or worse yet, gets labeled as brainwashed or oppressed. Women are told that we are equal to men. But when it comes to being “successful” adopting masculine traits gets pushed instead of being encouraged to step into our unique feminine traits. By default, this sends the message that what we would accomplish through embracing our feminine qualities is not enough. In the name of liberation the gifts of intimacy and sexuality have been cheapened; and women have been encouraged to make choices that leave them feeling broken and empty. Instead of celebrating and supporting the natural role women have as life bearers and nurturers of the next generation, women are encouraged to put education and career first. Even to the point of choosing to kill her child if she becomes pregnant at a time which seems inconvenient. Publicly championing for women’s rights gets used for self promotion by politicians and corporations… until it comes to another group that is deemed more oppressed by society. In that case, what’s best for women gets thrown out the window. (A good example of this is women’s sports allowing transgender women to compete against biological females.)Women are being sold a ideology that ultimately only benefits the system we are living in. And the lies and hypocrisy of it all are quite honestly disgusting.I’m tired of it… are you? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this topic down below.
