They want a man who will work hard to provide for them. Men want a wife who tries to be as attractive and feminine as possible. They are highly visual. Both of these qualities (hard worker/controlling one’s appetite) require self-control which is a fruit of the Spirit. No one wants to marry a spouse who is lazy and lacks self-control, right?
