9/10/21  · The world would be a much different place if preachers desiring to be “successful” had not followed the ways and new measures of Charles Finney. Easy prayerism and shallow evangelism have wreaked havoc on the world. Millions upon tens of millions “saved”, yet little to no fruit. Everywhere Finney went there would be much religious excitement but, within a few months, everything was “laid waste”. The people were “saved” but barely darkened the door of a church after that.I have read of true great revivals where 2000 people were saved and added to the churches with only a handful apostatizing. Yet today you would only find a handful of that number of people that would actually “stick” and over 1900 apostatize. We have failed to be Biblical in our evangelism and we see the results and bad fruit today.
