Don’t simply skip over them or mentally delete them, but rather seek to understand and gain a full comprehension of the text. Ask yourself, ‘What does it mean?’ Write down difficult words or phrases, and then, when they are understood after careful study, write the definition in the margin of your Bible, next to the word or phrase. You will always improve the process of understanding by discipline, patience, and hard work.” Paul W. Scott, English for Bible Readers, p.45
