“America and You”
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the
people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
Psalm 33:12
The Bible does not say blessed is the nation whose god is
liberalism, that supports secularism, bred by humanism,
morphing into atheism, producing infidels, leading to
communism! Our Book does not support abortion, atheistic
teachers, condoning murder and mayhem! The Word of God
does not approve sodomy and all the letters today that vilely
promote an “alternate lifestyle” to the point of impurity
beyond description. The Scripture does not say God will bless
a nation that has turned its back on God, nor a church, from the
pulpit to the pew that has compromised the timeless tenets of
the testaments of truth, He gave us in His Word.
The later part of our verse often goes unread, unheeded
and hardly ever even spoken of, but, His chosen inheritance is
blessed. Blessed with His presence, blessed with His comfort
in crisis, blessed in the fact that He left Heaven and became
what we are (sin) that we might become what He is (righteous-
see II Cor. 5:21). Christ became human that we might become
divine! He gave up what He had (a throne and glory) so we
can have one day what He has! Praise Him! Praise God!
Our nation may have a hard time being blessed, but we can
be, because we are His chosen ones by His amazing grace!
God help us to recall past blessing, present promises and
future Glory.
As Americans, may we never forget what transpired on
September 11, twenty-one years ago today and may we pray
God’s mercy on us.
