” Are You Clean?”
” … the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all
sin .. I John 1:7b
“Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to
wash his feet, but is clean every whit; and ye are clean, but not
all. ” John 13:10
Jesus spoke of one not being clean and in verse 11 reveals
that man’s identity-Judas!
Sometimes preachers or people present themselves as
clean because of outward accoutrements or visual
accomplishments. E. V. Hill (1933-2003) once said in his
eloquent manner, “God cleansed me on the inside; I have to
work on the outside.”
If you are still a carnal, selfish, sniveling, whining, sinning
saved person … quit blaming your carnality on Christ. You
and your pampering of your flesh and yielding to the siren call
of Satan are the causes of the lack of victory and sanctity in
your Christian life, walk with God and testimony to a lost
world. Many genuinely born-again people have spiritual
“lock jaw” when it comes to witnessing and being a voice for
God and godliness. Many are like an old record, with the
needle stuck on a scratch on an old 78, and just talk, talk, talk
and never really say anything! (Sadly, only a few will have
ever heard the irksome nuisance of the defect on the vinyl.
Many don’t even know what a record player is!)
Friend, what I am saying is-you are saved! Act like it!
Live like it! Talk like it! Walk like it! Love like it! For ” … if
any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are
passed away; behold, all things are become new” (II Cor.
