Out of Nazareth – John 1:34
“Out of Nazareth”
“And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.”
John 1:34
“Truly this was the Son of God. ” Matthew 27:54b
Out of Nazareth, Jesus came,
“The Son of God,” John proclaimed.
The devils trembled, and called His name.
He broke up a funeral in the town of Nain.
He walked on the water and calmed the waves,
Stood up to Pharisees strong and brave,
Went to a tomb, Lazarus to raise,
His power was greater than the grave.
The Son of God, serene and sublime,
Walked among us on the shores of time.
His words were gracious and sweeter than wine;
To read them, still touches this heart of mine.
Still He reaches with nail-scarred hand,
To help all lost and fallen man.
He still writes forgiveness in the sand,
Cleansing hearts as only He can.
He died alone on Calvary,
For sinners, just like you and me.
He’s coming back, just you wait and see,
To take us Home-forever to be. – W.T.
