Burton, Rev. William, was born in Margaree, Cape Breton; baptized by Rev. Joseph Dimock in 1826; ordained July 20,1828; was co-pastor of Yarmouth church with the venerable Harris Hard- ing from 1880 to 1853 ; then pastor at Portland, St. John, New Brunswick, and at Hantsport, Nova Scotia, where he died in 1867.
