 The 1620 agreement (first called the Mayflower Compact in 1793) was a legal instrument that bound the Pilgrims together when they arrived in the New World. John Adams said, “Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” Morality and virtue are the foundation of our republic and necessary for a society to be free. God is the source of morality. Therefore we must be rightly connected to God through a personal relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ, The Savior, who Himself said: “Ye must be born again.”Make today your Spiritual Independence Day! Then come to Church for your necessary spiritual food and fellowship. We need to seek God. As we lift our eyes towards the sky this evening, May we turn our eyes upon Jesus as well! Happy Birthday, America, Land that I love.
