Carter, Rev. E.J.G., a promising young man of Union Association, Ark., was born in Mississippi in 1845; he removed to Arkansas in 1852; began to preach about 1870; ordained 1876. He labored extensively with churches in Washita and Nevada Counties. He died in 1879. From the Baptist Encyclopedia by William Cathcart(NOTE: This is one of those unfortunate small entries that there is little information on and I could not find further)
