“Living Quietly Amidst Chaos, Madness”

“Let us therefore follow after the things which make for
peace ,… ” Romans 14:19a

The world has become chaotic and society is quite mad.
Seeing that we are living in the “last days” and that these times
are perilous, that is to say, hazardous and full of danger, how
should we live and conduct ourselves amongst dangerous,
unlawful people who love to intimidate, threaten, assault and
attack? Let us live a quiet and peaceful life in God.

The epistle to the Romans tells us to follow after the things
which make for peace. I Timothy 3:3, speaks of a saved
person not being a “brawler,” i.e ., a quarrelsome, noisy
person. If we are loud and unruly, saying and doing whatever
we please, then we may become noticed, and being spotted,
becoming a target. If we live our everyday lives in a peaceful
manner, then we might go unnoticed and thereby, safer. The
Holy Ghost moved Paul to write this: “If it be possible, as
much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” (Rom.
12:18). This does not mean we condone sin, but that we live in
peace, without war, without tumult and without disturbance.

In closing, we are living in the last days. If we want to
survive the madness to come, we might do well to live a sane
life, all the while, speaking to people about Christ and eternal
salvation. If we suffer, according to God’s will, may we
commit our souls to Him, as unto our faithful Creator (see I
Peter 4:19). – C.T.
