God made men possessive because they tend to take care of what they own – car, boat, etc. If a wife encourages his possessiveness and gives herself to him whenever he asks and encourages him when he hasn’t asked, he’ll be convinced she belongs to him. That will encourage him to take care of her. There is a difficulty – giving herself that often is emotionally draining. He has to convince her that he belongs to her for her to renew her emotional energy for her to be able to do that. What convinces a wife that her husband belongs to her?
