The Priesthood was a means in the Old Testament to Offer up Continual Sacrifices for the Nation of Israel’s Sins. The Levitical Priesthood would Require from the Chosen people of God a Sacrifice, a Sin Offering, which would be a Never Ending Sacrifice. Jesus Christ said: “IT IS FINISHED” (John.19:30)Also Scripture States: And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the Same Sacrifices, which can never take away sins:But this man, after He offered up One Sacrifice for Sin Forever, sat down at the Right hand of God.For by One Offering He hath Perfect Forever them that are Sanctified. (Hebrews.10:11-14)Conclusion: No more Offering for Sins. The Priesthood has been Abolished.
