It’s always devastating to the children and many others. Never rejoice in what God hates. Mourn instead and pray for them. Written by Anthony Esolen on Twitter
I hear that 90% of divorces in the USA, in which both husband and wife are college graduates, are sought by the woman. Most of these, by far, involve no physical abuse. When I speak to men about divorce, I say that unless the children are in grave danger, there is no excuse for it. You make a sacred vow, you keep that vow. Your personal happiness is not pertinent. You did not vow that you would remain faithful so long as you were happy about it. You vowed to remain faithful till death. It is a sacred vow; and when things are rough in a marriage, as in a lot of marriages they will sometimes be, you ought to expect the society roundabout you to hold you to your vow. That may end up being the one thing to save the marriage and to make it a happy one. I have seen that happen. I’ve got a lot of good friends who have gotten divorced. I understand that otherwise fine people will fall into a bad thing when nobody around them and nothing in the culture will protect them from it. So I’m not laying blame. But the statistic above is dreadful. If it were the other way around, and 90% of such divorces were sought by men, I’d be crying out against my fellows, and from the housetops…

‘The Transformed Wife и @godlywomanhood My mom was always home and available for us. This was a huge security in my life. She used her time and energy in loving and raising us. This IS why I know how important it is for mothers to be home and available for their children. My sisters and I are emotionally stable and secure because of her. Love you Mom!’
