6h · Admittedly, most women have never been taught that God wants them to be keepers at home so they don’t blaspheme His Word (Titus 2:5), so all of the blame cannot be put on them. Being a career woman is what they’ve been taught all of their lives.

Most of them know they’re ding wrong – why else would they get SO VOCAL when a commencement address by a Catholic at a small Catholic college to an audience of Catholic graduates stir them up so much?Liberals claim to be pro-choice, but they get VERY upset when women choose in ways they don’t like.Society USED to respect the enormous amount of time, talent, toil, and treasure than went into being a mother. Satan wants to tear down motherhood so women won’t want to do it.God expects a woman to give three gifts to her child.The first gift is putting your life on the line to give your child life. Death in childbirth is less common than it was but still happens. A pregnant woman walks the valley of the shadow of death for the sake of her love for her potential child.Jesus created us even though He knew that Adam would sin and that He would have to die to give us salvation. God created mothers to illustrate His love for us by making their love and desire for children strong enough to risk life itself; that’s an illustration of God’s love. Fathers should uphold, encourage, and help.The second gift is a father who has a strong emotional, financial, and duty-bound tie to your child. Although a man may have some vague head knowledge of the birds and the bees, down in his heart where it counts, a man doesn’t really believe he has anything to do with making babies. Your baby is clearly yours – you had it last – but what has your baby to do with him?Remember the old saying – “The time my father got me, his mind was not on me.” What was he thinking? Was he thinking at all? The only way you can give your child a father is to belong to him thoroughly before you become pregnant. If you require him to commit himself by marrying you before giving yourself to him and convince him that you belong to him by encouraging his possessiveness, your child will also belong to him.The third gift is the gift of a mother. Having risked your life to give your child life, God expects you to dedicate your life to nourishing and cherishing your child. Women with jobs have neither the time nor the emotional energy to be Biblical mothers for their children.You must be content to live on what your husband earns, encourage him in his career, and mother your children. Proverbs 31 was written to men. 31:1 shows that King Lemuel’s mother taught him how to nourish, cherish, and bless his future wife. This teaching is mostly by example and it takes more time and more emotional energy than career women can supply.By the grace of God, a very few single mothers are able to raise children successfully, but this is rare indeed.
