“God’s Yoke”
“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers … Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”
II Corinthians 6:14, 17-18

It is an “either or” situation. You can’t be unequally yoked
and in His yoke at the same time. The call of separation is not
only from the unequal yoke; it is to His yoke.
He invites me to “come out from among them” and He
invites me not to just come out, but to come in. In
Deuteronomy 6:23, God told the children of Israel that He
brought them out that He might bring them in. He got me out
of the yoke of bondage, so He could get me in the yoke of
fellowship and service with Him.
I am invited into His yoke-that’s a great privilege! You
can only be in one yoke at a time. When He invites me into His
yoke, it’s apparent I have to get out of the yoke of sin,
worldliness and carnality before I can get in His yoke of
service. If I’m unwilling to get out of that yoke, I’m incapable
of responding to this invitation and getting in His yoke. I’m
talking about living a consecrated life. I’m talking about
enjoying the benefits for which God saved you and having a
part in the work of God. He said, “Take my yoke upon you.
This is not a generic yoke or religious yoke; it is His yoke! – D.C.
