‘Unlike the true spirit of charity of the gospel the listening ear shares the same responsibility as the lying tongue they both are complicit in the treason. Gladly does one shrink from the light of truth in his atmosphere of darkness when a liar gives ear to that which supports his own wickedness. If he did not love a lie he would not listen to it.
