When women say that communication is the key to a good marriage, it often means that they must share every negative and critical thought and opinion they have about their husbands. Then if their husbands don’t listen to them or don’t agree, they become quarrelsome and contentious. Then they give their husbands the silent treatment to get their way. I know, because I was this way as a young wife. I demanded my husband always agree with me! It’s so ugly.
This is how we should always communicate with our husbands:
She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. (Pr 31:26)
