\"Wise Or Otherwise?\"<\/strong><\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n\"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that\r\nwinneth souls is wise.\" Proverbs 11:30<\/em>\r\nPersonally, I don't read much in the Old Testament\r\nconcerning, what we would refer to as \"soul-winning\" in the\r\nmodern-day context. However, our verse today simply says\r\nthat in whatever era, time or century, those that win souls are\r\nwise! Just to be blunt, if a born-again Christian has no desire\r\nto or has never even given out the Gospel of Jesus Christ and\r\nits saving power, instructing a sinner in the way of salvation,\r\nthus, never even trying to win a soul to Jesus Christ-what are\r\nyou? There are several antonyms to the word wise; I guess the\r\nmost prudent would be unwise! If one deigns to never make\r\nan effort to win folks to Christ, he lacks wisdom, discernment\r\nand sound judgment. Surely, there is something each of us can\r\ndo to reach the world with the saving Gospel of Christ.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe first part of our verse speaks of the righteous one's\r\nfruit, as being a tree of life. A tree of life exists today in the\r\nparadise of God. This \"tree of life\" flows near the street of\r\ngold and grows on either side of the river of life that flows\r\nfrom the throne of God and the Lamb (see Rev. 22:2). The\r\nBible is a little plainer than this preacher, for it says, \"Blessed\r\nare they that do his commandments, that they may have right\r\nto the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the\r\ncity (Rev. 22:14). \"For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and\r\nwhoremongers, and murderers, and idolators and whosoever\r\nloveth and maketh a lie\" (vs. 15).\r\nWISE OR UNWISE ...
