However, the process of conforming<br>to the image of Christ demands this fellowship.<br>Syrupy Christians do not want suffering. I am very<br>grateful that I was able to travel to Haiti with Evangelist<br>Harold Boyd, and to visit the Soviet Union with Dr. Bob<br>Billings. There I observed a level of biblical Christianity that<br>syrupy Christians do not want:<br>&#8230; messages against sin and based on God&#8217;s Word.<br>&#8230; sermons going beyond an hour.<br>&#8230; singing old hymns birthed out of trusting Christ.<br>&#8230; giving tithes and offerings to God&#8217;s work.<br>&#8230; church pews without padded comfort.<br>&#8230; pastors burdened over the sins in the church.<br>.. accountability of church discipline.<br>&#8230; being told to win the lost to Christ.<br>&#8230; buildings without air-conditioning or sufficient heat.<br>&#8230; prayer meetings without coffee breaks.<br>&#8230; told to be faithful to all services.<br>Syrupy Christians also do not want anyone to write what I<br>have just written!
