Burchard, Theodore.\u2014Mr. Theodore Burchard, who died at Lacon, IIl., Dec. 9, 1868, at the age of seventy-four, was a native of Granby, Mass. In early life he removed to Oneida County; in the State of New York, and from that place, later, to Hamilton, where he resided some twenty years, an active member of the church, and, like his two brothers, also residents of Hamilton, interested in all denominational enterprises. In 1854 he re- moved to Quincy, Il, where he became a member of the Vermont Street Baptist church. During the last four years of his life he resided mostly at La- con, where he died. His remains were taken to Hamilton for burial, where his wife and his two brothers also lie. \u2018\u2018 Father Burchard,\u201d writes one who knew him well, \u2018was manly and noble in his bearing, tall, standing considerably over six feet, and every inch a Baptist.
