Daily Devotion in Proverbs 28 (devotionsfromthebible.com)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

BILL BRINKWORTH<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

HEAR the devotion and KJV chapter.<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daily Nugget:<\/strong>
\u201cThe wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.\u201d Proverbs 28:1  <\/em>Also: Psalm 53:5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ungodly may be content sinning. However, they have been robbed of confidence they may not know is missing. Because they have rejected God\u2019s way, they are deprived of the promises, protection, and peace the child of God can have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Too often, the \u201cwicked\u201d fear what could happen and bite their nails over many never-occurring \u201cwhat if\u201ds. They constantly look over their shoulders for dangers that are not there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There should be a balance of what could happen and that God will only allow what He wants to happen in one\u2019s life. The unbeliever does not have that comfort. However, with the assurance that God is in control, the believer can have less fear and concern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those in sin have another \u201cvoice\u201d that often nags and frightens them. It is the whisper of guilt that also steals the peace they could be having. Although many reject God, His commandments, and have forgotten their past wicked sins, responsibility for evilness still haunts consciences. Guilt can be hidden and ignored, but it is rarely eliminated without God\u2019s help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The righteous, however, should have less fear of the \u201cwhat if\u201ds that could happen. When a person is born into the family of God (John 3:3), He has a heavenly Father who watches over, guides, and protects him through life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Believers can have peace even amidst trials and tribulations. We can be \u201cbold as a lion\u201d knowing our heavenly Father is constantly watching over us. We are anchored in the Rock that never falters, makes mistakes, or at no time forgets us. The Lord knows all about what is happening in our lives and all around us. Fear not! You are safe in His hands!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transgression: disobeying God\u2019s law

2 \u00b6 For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.
3 \u00b6 A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.
4 \u00b6 They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.
5 \u00b6 Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.
6 \u00b6 Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.
7 \u00b6 Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.
8 \u00b6 He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.
9 \u00b6 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.
10 \u00b6 Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.
11 \u00b6 The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.
12 \u00b6 When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden.
13 \u00b6 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
14 \u00b6 Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.
15 \u00b6 As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.
16 \u00b6 The prince that wanteth understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days.
17 \u00b6 A man that doeth violence to the blood of any person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him.
18 \u00b6 Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.
19 \u00b6 He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough.
20 \u00b6 A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.
21 \u00b6 To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress.
22 \u00b6 He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.
23 \u00b6 He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.
24 \u00b6 Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer.
25 \u00b6 He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat.
26 \u00b6 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
27 \u00b6 He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.
