Jesus saith unto<br>them, Come and dine &#8230;. &#8221; John 21:9 &amp; 12a<br>I read some of the following in a church bulletin and added<br>the last four words to it for my purposes:<br>&#8220;He who draws the net<br>Sorts the catch and Enjoys the meal.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> I have only fished with a net a few times in my life: two<br>times with a cast net in Florida and once pulling a dragnet for<br>several miles up and down a river in Louisiana. On each<br>occasion fish were caught and other things we didn&#8217;t want with<br>the drag!<br>In the life of fishing for men, faithfully witnessing,<br>passing out tracts, talking to loved ones or neighbors,<br>preaching the Gospel and many other means by which folk are<br>confronted with eternity and pointed to Jesus Christ, one must<br>not just cast the net but draw the net! And as our little couplet<br>says, &#8220;Sort the catch;&#8221; however, that is not our job but the<br>Lord&#8217;s. Find this in the seaside message of Jesus to His<br>followers and future fishers of men (cf. Mark 4:1-9).<br>I would guess the fish Jesus fed those seven men constituted<br>the best fish breakfast meal they&#8217;d had since the feeding of the<br>5,000 or maybe the broiled fish and honey they&#8217;d shared with<br>Him (see Luke 24:42).
