The Agonizing Death of Biblical Morality<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Prosperity\nflourished after World War II. Soldiers returning from the war re-entered the workplace.  Families grew.  Educational institutes were filled with those that wanted to start new\ncareers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In\nthose institutes, prosperity and betterment were an important focus.  Slowly, the need for spiritual things went by\nthe wayside. Biblical principles that were\ninstilled in lives for centuries were also forgotten and discarded as\nrebuilding a nation was a priority. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those\nthat desired to prepare for the ministry went to colleges that were led by many\nthat also forgot the importance of following the Biblical way.  Many thought they knew better than what the Bible\ntaught.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Justification\nfor not obeying the Old Book flourished. \nConfusion brought about by changed,\nmodern \u201cbibles\u201d helped stoke confusion. \nChurch leaders left those institutes with less faith and more doubts\nthan they had when they entered the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\npulpits expounded the doubts and questions pastors had learned during their\npastoral training.  Pew sitters absorbed\nwhat came from the pulpit.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Soon\nmore churches were teaching what\ncongregations wanted to hear rather than what God wanted taught.  Hellfire and brimstone preaching were replaced with sermons that would offend\nless and booster congregations. Less biblical truths were taught and even less\nbelieved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\ngeneration produced another generation that had even less biblical training. A\nnew generation of churchgoers was lulled\nto sleep with powerless, social reform rather than biblical obedience and doctrine.  Watered-down religion was producing little\nobedience to the Word of God and more questions and doubts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nU. S. Supreme Court Engel vs. Vital case in 1962 ruled not to allow prayer in\npublic schools.  The following year the\nSupreme Court also ruled in the Abington School District vs. Schempp case to\nremove reading of the Bible in schools. \nFew objected, and one more nail in\nAmerica\u2019s moral coffin was hammered down. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Churches\nwere not preaching all the truths from the Bible, and now public schools had\nstopped.  Parents, because of lack of\nproper teaching, were not grounded in Biblical truths and morals and were\nunable to teach those truths to their children. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A\nliberal movement among young people started in the late 60\u2019s and early\n70\u2019s.  Rebellion against sexual morals\nand responsibilities of man and wife were questioned and changed.  Pregnancies out of wedlock increased and lost\nthe stigma of shame.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Women\u2019s roles in the\nfamily changed.  Child rearing was delegated to babysitters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marriages\nwere fewer, and the divorce rate skyrocketed.  Laws were changed\nto abort many of the unwanted babies that were the result of sex out of\nwedlock. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Biblical morals were further ignored, and everyone was \u201cdoing what felt good.\u201d  Society suffered because all did what they thought was right.
\u201cEvery way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.\u201d<\/em> Proverbs 21:2<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

God\u2019s\nwill and way were further ignored,\nridiculed, and not known by many.  To\nfill the void of missing universally-accepted moral guidelines and spiraling\nout-of-control lawlessness more laws were\ncreated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Politicians\nnow changed laws without the populous knowing what they were doing.  Major social changes, most going against\nGod\u2019s commandments, were made law. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 While hard-working people toiled at their jobs to pay for\ntheir lifestyle, many found ways to get government financial assistance without\nworking.  Politicians leaped at the opportunity\nof those that were slothful knowing that those that were dependent on\ngovernment money would vote for them no matter what they tried to push on the\npeople.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since\nso many are not taught true history,\npractices that failed every time in the past are now being pushed by politicians, government schools, and a biased,\nliberal media.  The U. S. Constitution is\nbeing frowned on.  Socialism is considered. \nPersonal freedoms are discarded as\nuntrustworthy politicians exchange them for more \u201cfree\u201d handouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most\nare confused what is right and wrong because of all the changes. Since there\nare no longer social standards, personal opinions have become the governing\nvoice.  Citizens continue doing what they think are right even\nthough society around them is deteriorating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crime\nwill increase.  Immorality will increase.\nMore freedoms will be lost.  More taboos will be removed, and a society\nthat is bent on doing what it wants will breed chaos and anarchy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nonly hope for any society is to once again return to obeying God\u2019s law found in\nthe Bible.  God\u2019s Word certainly has more\nthan \u201cTen Commandments\u201d but just obeying those few will renew some morality and\norder to society\u2019s destruction.  Putting\nGod first and obedience to His standards would also change so many\nattitudes.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Love\nwould replace the selfish \u201cme firsts.\u201d \nConcern and respect for others would reintroduce kindness among\ncitizens. The value of human life will be restored. Right and wrong will again\nbe clearly defined, and ever-changing\npersonal opinions will not be as important as they have become.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nothing\nwill ever improve in society unless the reading, believing, and obeying of God\ncommandments is revived.  God created man,\nand He knows best how His creation should\nlive and what will harm mankind.  God made sure we had his guidelines because\nhe knows if they are not obeyed people\nwill not be able to live together.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Man\u2019s\nway never works. As easy and as simple as it sounds, society will not improve\nuntil individuals take that first step. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do not wait to follow others in returning to God-honoring, biblical morality.  God and His desires have been mocked and ridiculed for too long.  Let a revival in honoring God and His commandments begin with you.\u201cBe not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.\u201d Gal. 6:7<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
