God never had but one plan of salvation. Settle it as a fundamental point of your theology that the plan of salvation has always been one plan. Every man on earth that has been saved to date, and every man that will be saved on this earth, will be saved by the blood of Christ preached by the gospel and applied by the Holy Spirit. Not a soul, not one, will be saved after Christ comes. In his first advent he came as a sin offering unto salvation. In his second advent he comes apart from salvation, or apart from a sin offering to salvation. He comes to wind up the affairs of the world, raise the dead, and judge the world. He who, in his theory, seeks to point the people of God to some other way of enlightening the world than by the original plan \u2013 Christ&#8217;s light reflecting in the churches under the guidance of the Holy Spirit \u2013 is to my mind in his theory (bless God, not often in his practices!) opposed to the plan of salvation.
