Unfortunately, many have to shamefully hang their head and admit that a relationship in their lives is not what it should be, or what it once was. It could be a family member, spouse, or acquaintance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sadder, over time the reason for the separation may even be forgotten, but still someone does not talk to the other or a grudge is still held. It is easy to come up with excuses as to how we are justified in saying or doing what we did to the other. Whatever the justification, the result is still the same, and a relationship has been shattered. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is important to work on and repair any damage in any relationship. Here is some of what the Bible says about resolving our differences: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A friendship should be at ALL times<\/strong>, not just when things are going well. With this in mind, there should not be permanent problems between you and your friends, because they are your friends! Any disagreements should be resolved as quickly as possible!<br>\n    <em>\u201cA friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.\u201d Proverbs 17:17 <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No matter what is done to us, we still should forgive others;<\/strong> no matter how many times we feel wronged. <br>\n      <em>\u201cThen came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.\u201d Matthew 18:21<\/em><em>Also: Luke 17:3-4 <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Love those that wrong you; do not hate them! <br>\n      <\/strong><em>\u201cRejoice not when thine enemy falleth \u2026Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.\u201d Proverbs 24:17-18 <br>\n      <\/em><em>\u201c\u2026 Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you \u2026.\u201d Matthew 5:44-45 <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Return unkindness and ill treatment with kind, Godly forgiveness. <br>\n      <\/strong><em>\u201cBless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not \u2026\u201d Romans 12:14-16 <br>\n      <\/em><em>\u201cTherefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.\u201d Romans 12:20-21 <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong> Getting even should not be on the Christian\u2019s agenda! <br>\n    <\/strong><em>\u201cRecompense to no man evil for evil. \u2026 avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.\u201d Roman 12:17-19<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>God has forgiven us.<\/strong> We should forgive others. <br>\n      <em>\u201cForbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.\u201d Colossians 3:13 <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong> An unforgiving attitude will come between you and the Father. <br>\n    <\/strong><em>\u201cBut if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.\u201d Mark 11:26 Also: Mark 11:25-26, Matthew 6:12-15, Luke 6:36<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em> \u201c<\/em><\/strong><strong> Well, you don\u2019t know what that person did to me.\u201d <br>\n    \u201cNo, I don\u2019t, but you know what you did against God, and he forgave you!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<em>This study was featured in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.openthoumineeyes.com\/Views10\/BibleView259.pdf\">The Bible View #259<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/openthoumineeyes.com\/views20\/LargeText\/BibleView740-Large-Print.pdf\">https:\/\/openthoumineeyes.com\/views20\/LargeText\/BibleView740-Large-Print.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Getting Right with Others Bill Brinkworth It is always sad to see a once flourishing relationship replaced with little or no communication, much bitterness, angriness, and unforgiveness.
