When Moses smote the rock in the wilderness, God brought forth sufficiency for the people. When the Apostle Paul wrote about it, he said, &#8221; \u2026that Rock was Christ. &#8220;(1 Cor. 10:4). Think of these words: SAFE: The world is not a safe place; it threatens us on every front. That is why so many times in God&#8217;s Word we are told not to fear. Fear is our impression that what we face is not as great as our God. In the Rock, Jesus Christ, we are safe. SETTLED: The world is not only unsettled but also unsettling to its occupants. The Bible word established means to render sure, stable, fixed in place, or fastened to. Established on the Rock, Christ Jesus, you and I can deal with all the world throws at us, without fear. SECURE: All three words are inter-locked in their spiritual significance. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus invites us to come to Him, and He says, &#8220;\u2026I will give you rest. &#8221; In John 10, Jesus promises absolute security, and in Matthew 11, Jesus promises the result of that is refreshing, repose and rest. If you are established ON the Rock, you have the right to hide IN the Rock. Flee there! Stay there! \u2014 G.G.
