\n\n“Irrespective Impatience”\n“For ye have need ofpatience, …” Hebrews 10:36a\nHow often have we jumped to a conclusion, only to regret\nthe consequences of our impatience? Whatever benefit there\nmay be in patience, it is very clear there is none to being\nimpatient. Proverbs 18:13 reminds us to be careful about\nanswering another before hearing from both sides. If you\ndon’t, it may be a folly and shame to you. Impatience usually\nis improper, inexpedient, inappropriate and inadvisable.\nDid you hear about that farm dog named August? One day\nhe jumped at the conclusion of a mule, and that was the last day\nofAugust!\nAn impatient backseat driver is impudent and impertinent,\nmeaning they are offensively forward in behavior, rude and\npresumptuous. A man’s car stalled one morning on a busy\nhighway, and no matter what he tried, he could not get it\nstarted. Traffic was backed up and one guy in a pickup truck\nwas just blowing his horn! The driver walked back to the\nfellow in the truck and said, “I’m sorry, but I can’t get my car\nstarted. If you will go up there and give it a try, I’ll stay here\nand blow your horn!” An impatient spirit is unsuitable and\nvery unbecoming. Whatever you are, being impatient is one\nof the worst of traits.\nI once heard you can just about do anything if you just\nhave patience. You can even carry water in a sieve, if you just\nwait until it freezes! We all have some need of more patience!\nG.T. \n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
