This is a Baptist history page for a reason- Things that are different are not the same. Lutherans, Episcopalians, Catholics, many Pentecostals, Church of Christ etc teach that works in some form are necessary to get or maintain salvation. Apostolics deny the trinity. Many of these denominations deny cardinal doctrines of the Bible and are lost in theological liberalism. This is not truth but the doctrines of men. Baptists have always held that the Bible is the only rule for faith and for practice. The others hold some sort of dual authority- rather tradition, reason, an authority\/ hierarchy, or additional revelation. There is ample evidence that has been presented in this group to show that Baptists trace a linage back to Christ not the apostate Catholic church as do all the Protestants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
