JOB\u2019S WIFE WAS A FOOLISH WOMAN<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThen said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? Curse God and die. But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips\u201d (Job 2:9,10),<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FOOLISH, void of understanding or sound judgment; weak in intellect; unwise, imprudent; proceeding from depravity.
God\u2019s Word has a lot to say about the foolish. Here are a few examples:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cForsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding\u201d (Proverbs 9:6<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing\u201d (Proverbs 9:13) CLAMOROUS, Speaking and repeating loud words; noisy; vociferous; loud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction\u201d (Proverbs 10:14).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEvery wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands\u201d (Proverbs 14:1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Foolish is the opposite of being wise. As many of you know, I was very sick for 30 years, the entire childhoods of my children. I never blamed God for my suffering and pain. I am not saying this to brag. I am saying this because it\u2019s the truth. Instead of \u201cWhy me?\u201d I asked \u201cWhy not me?\u201d I don\u2019t deserve anything. Everything good that I have received in life is a result of God\u2019s goodness and mercy, not because of anything I have done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You must grow in wisdom, dear women. You don\u2019t want to be foolish women who tear your homes down and question God\u2019s will in your life. You want to trust that He is good and His plan for you is good, even if it requires suffering, loss, and pain. In order to be able to do this, you must have deep roots in Him that have tasted of Him and seen that He is indeed good. You can trust Him even during the storms and tribulations of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedienct, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regenation, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.<\/strong><\/em>
