Genesis 40:8<\/em>. \tMost people do not get their bible interpretations from the bible itself. They subscribe to a particular theology or understanding of certain bible doctrines based on their denomination, peer group, or commentaries. The idea that the average person of average intelligence and average education can pick up a bible and understand it to the point of settling major theological questions is simply absurd to the world at large. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \tOne barrier in the world’s thinking is that they don’t believe that they have the complete and accurate word of God. To them, reading a bible is a religious exercise, not a means of gaining infallible truth. When they see a King James Bible believer exposit a doctrine or defend a position based on the words of the King James Bible and only on the words of a King James Bible, they assume the King James Bible believer is trapped in some legalistic web wherein he is afraid to peek at other versions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \tThe best mathematicians in the world could not solve an algebraic inscription on an ancient wall if some of the numbers were missing or their veracity was in doubt. Different mathematicians would get differing answers if the scholars who fed them data gave them differing numbers based on their hunches as to what the original equation said. Likewise, any puzzle involving logic can not be solved with any accuracy if any of the facts are in doubt or missing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \tThe bible works no differently. Granted, we have an advantage over the mathematician seeking to solve an ancient inscription or the logician who seeks to solve an ancient logistical puzzle. We have the spirit of the author of the bible living within us. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God, 1st Corinthians 2:12<\/em>. Nevertheless, God communicates to us in words. His spirit is there to give us an understanding of those words, but without those words the spirit does not communicate anything above the level of feelings. God promised us something better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \tAs for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever, Isaiah 59:21<\/em>. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away, Mark 13:31<\/em>. Could anything be more clear than those two verses? The first principle that needs to be understood in being able to interpret the bible is that the words of God have been miraculously preserved on this earth and that they are accessible to the common man. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \tWhere could a person find such words? Hint! Hint! The Apostle Paul told you where to look: Romans 3:1: What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Romans 3:2: Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God<\/em>. \tWhen the Apostle Paul spoke of the Jews in the Book of Romans, he was not talking about converted Jews who had embraced the cross of Jesus Christ. He went so far as to tell us that; As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes, Romans 11:28<\/em>. God has not stopped his love for the Jews, but they have rejected the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is to these same people that God committed the oracles of God. It was to them that the promise of Isaiah 59:21 was made. They are the people carrying about a perfect Old Testament in Hebrew. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \tIt is telling that the modern versions uniformly reject the text carried by those same Jews. The translators and compilers of the new bibles do not believe that there is a book anywhere on this earth that is 100% the words of God. The Old Testament in the King James Bible is the interpretation of those Hebrew words carried by those Jews and commended by the Apostle Paul into a classical form of English writing that preserves the nuances and accuracy of the Hebrew Language. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \tThe new versions are a hodge-podge of guesses by various scholars as to what they think the text should be based on many sources other than the text the Apostle Paul endorsed. The very premisses of those versions are that you, the average person on the street are not smart enough to think in the carefully crafted words of the King James Bible even though all of your forefathers who did not speak King James English could. And, they believe that the promises of Isaiah 59:21 and Mark 13:31 misfired. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \tIf your King James Bible is practically the only English version that believes the Hebrew Text as the good apostle told us to trust it, you can have great confidence that it has the New Testament straight also. The history of how that text came to us is long and meanders through many people and places, but is available in books written by many different authors. A person does not have to tie up part of his or her intellect to believe that they have a perfect scripture. Whether or not God will use a translation depends on whether or not the Holy Ghost is pleased or grieved with it. The Middle Ages saw many crude and incomplete Bibles translated into vulgar tongues from the Pre-Jerome Latin Vulgate. These bibles were not perfect and often reflected poor translating skills. However, the Holy Ghost was evidently pleased with them because they reflected the very best effort that men of that language were able to perform. He did not sense a vain prideful spirit, but sensed a humble spirit of surrender to the authority of God through scripture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. Wherever the Jerome Text of the scriptures went, the anti-christ supplanted the Lord Jesus Christ. Wherever the Pre-Jerome Text went, the gospel of Jesus Christ took root. The Wycliffe Bible as represented by the 1854 Forshall and Madden text displayed on the internet is not an accurate representation of the 180 extant Wycliffe Bibles that have survived. Forshall and Madden were contemporaries of Westcott and Hort and jury rigged an ersatz Wycliffe Bible out of a few variant Wycliffe Bibles to harmonize with their ideas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 3. The King James Bible was translated using relatively later Greek manuscripts. The translators relied heavily upon vulgar manuscripts from the continent that reflected an unbroken lineage tied to the pre-Jerome Latin Vulgate translated and compiled during the lives of the apostles. They translated from Greek and Hebrew, but in the case of the New Testament, they only accepted such Greek readings as had proved themselves in the crucible of the underground church, as witnessed by the bibles used in the pre-reformation churches which were independent of the Catholic Church. I John 2:23<\/em> being a good example of trusting the Vulgar Bibles over the Greek Manuscripts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 4. The King James Bible is the Holy Ghost’s interpretation of the word of God in the English Language. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 5. The original King James Bible was a handwritten document presented to the King, purchased by Robert Barker for 3500 English Pounds, but was adequately retained in the notes and documents kept by the translators. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 6. In its 400 year history, it has suffered from the inability of men to accurately print it. All early versions contained errors. The two bibles printed by Barker in 1611 don’t even match. With 5,000,000 individual pieces of type to set, and the need to break down each page of type and reuse the letters, mistakes were frequent and sometimes copied in later printings as if they were meant to be there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 7. The King James Bible has experienced seven major purifications of the text as holy men sought to use the multiplicity of variant printings to collate a perfect bible. Until probably the great London fire of 1666, printers were able to consult the handwritten original. There are many court cases that speak about that manuscript’s existence. Each printing at that time done by Barker, his heirs, and business partners is an eye witness account of what the original manuscript said. Until at least the mid 1700s, men were able to view the translators’ notes as eye witnesses to the translators’ work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 8. The lack of stereotype printing techniques in England until the mid-1800s meant that every time a bible was resized, or printed in a different format, each page had to be reset by hand. Each printer performed this task with varying degrees of accuracy. By the mid-1800s the Cambridge Press had acquired stereotype printing equipment which allowed each page once it was perfected, to be kept in a state of purity. There was a steady purging of minor errors for the next 60 years that perfected the Blaney Edition of the King James Bible which was not perfect, but was pleasing to the Holy Ghost in that it reflected the best effort that Englishmen could make to having a perfect Bible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 9. Oxford produced a variant text of the King James Bible in 1894 which is the standard text used by the Scofield Reference Bible, as well as some other private printing firms. That Oxford Text has errors which if believed in context would teach heresy (see Joshua 19:2 as an example). <\/p>\n\n\n\n 10. During WWI, the Cambridge Printers melted their printing plates and donated the metals for the war drive. During that time, A. W. Pollard who had proved himself to the English Universities in his groundbreaking editing work of ancient English texts, was hired by Cambridge to standardize their text for the recasting of plates. He discovered and corrected some minor errors that had crept into the text. He produced a bible of surpassing purity. For the next decade after its release, just after WWI, Cambridge rewarded any and all members of the public who found even the slightest error in punctuation, italics, capitalizations or whatever. This was the equivalent of a master silversmith putting his silver back into the kiln for a seventh purification. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 11. The Cambridge text circa 1920, is the seventh purification of the King James Bible. It is an exact duplicate of a bible that sits on a pulpit in heaven. When God thinks in English, he thinks in the words and the language of the Pure Cambridge Text of the King James Bible. Any purposeful deviation from its text is a grief to the Holy Ghost. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him, Hebrews 10:38<\/em>. The Lord longsuffered the 19 century struggle to perfect a bible on this earth. He blessed many imperfect and incomplete attempts. Each of those attempts represented a struggle of godly men to perfect the word of God on earth and a pressing forward. The least turning back is an attempt to exalt the intellect of man over the mind of God. We are reaping the results of this in the great falling away we are experiencing, and the multiplying of insincere and incomplete professions of faith that now fill our churches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 12. A King James Bible printed in accordance with the Pure Cambridge Text as it was published between c1920 and 1985 is utterly infallible. Every word as spelled, every punctuation mark, every verse marking, every italics, every subscript, every title to every book (including the title of The Epistle of the Apostle Paul to the Hebrews) is part of the sacred text. It is impossible to quote any portion of that text, in its proper context and to teach an error. Any deviation from its proper printing in even minor form, is bound to introduce heresy whether or not any living person has the wit to understand that error at the time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 13. The days of pleading with the brethren to accept the final authority of God are coming to an end. Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone, Hosea 4:17<\/em>. God’s longsuffering has an end. We are rapidly nearing it. In the year 2013, God used the United States Supreme Court to turn the United States of America over to a reprobate mind. Sodomy is now the law of the land. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient, Romans 1:28<\/em>. The other English-speaking nations and western-style nations had already been turned over. Those who have the truth need to sow it into the public and seek to raise up a people for God. That skill is for all intents and purposes dead among fundamental Baptists. They have become the unsalty salt, unceasingly complaining about a world that they have lost the ability to change. Every year they shrink and compromise to fill their pews. The lack of power, the shrinking and the compromising are directly proportional to the tampering with the perfect word of God by both the Cambridge University Press and private printers of the word of God. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 14. The statements that have been made here are the principles and facts that this blog seeks to defend and publicize. If the God you serve is unable or unwilling to give you a perfect text I wouldn’t serve him. If Jesus Christ was to show up on my door step and show me even the slightest error in the Pure Cambridge Text, I would tell him to go to hell because he is not the Jesus Christ of the bible. He is that other Jesus of II Corinthians 11:4<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Implementing the above understanding of scripture has not isolated me or left me bitter and ineffectual. Instead, it has brought life to an isolated, tragically poor and rural county in Western New York. We have seen genuine conversions such as most Baptist churches haven’t seen in twenty years, accompanied by holy living and unmistakable life changes. The understanding in doctrine and the very nature of God that the Lord has given both me and my converts is more precious than any accolades that men could ever give. I don’t expect everyone to instantly understand what it has taken me thirty years to prove. The real question is whether or not you have a love of the truth. If you do, God will guide you to it.
