Considering how often this term is used, it is of\ngreat importance that we not overlook its significance. The Kingdom of God (as\nwith any kingdom) is the realm or sphere of influence of which the King\noperates. It was preached by John the Baptist (Matt.3:1-2) then Jesus (Mark\n1:14-15) who gave it to his disciples to preach (Matt. 10:17). Our brethren of\nProtestant persuasion have a system applied to the Bible which is not\ncompatible with the preaching of the Kingdom of God today. Therefore, they must\nrelegate it to a dispensational, Jewish gospel that applied only prior to the\ndeath, burial and resurrection of Christ. However, Jesus spoke of things\npertaining to it after His resurrection (Acts 1:3) Philipp preached it to the\nSamaritans who were not Jews (Acts 8:12) and Paul preached the Kingdom of God\nto the Gentiles (Acts 14:22; 19:8; 20:25; 28:23; 28:31, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is\nclearly expedient to the Protestant system of theology (which so many of our\nneo-Baptist brethren embrace) to \u201cdispensationally\u201d tuck away the Kingdom of\nGod. They must, therefore, assign it as a lost dispensation that will reappear\nin the future. The facts is, the apostles preached the Kingdom of God\nthroughout the apostolic age and was continued by our Baptist forebears to\npresent. They did not suffer persecution for being dispensationally confused,\nbut for preaching the truth. The conflict our hyper-dispensational brethren\nhave with this is that Scripture does not fit their manmade system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(continued\n&#8211; Tomorrow \u2013 The KOG is broad but not political)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thomas\nE.
