Bush, Rev. Alexander, was born in Lowville, Lewis Co., N. Y., Feb. 1, 1810, He was hopefully converted at the age of seventeen, and baptized in July, 1827. He devoted some time to the work of teaching, and feeling that it was his duty to preach, : he entered Hamilton Theological – Institution in 1835. In 1838 he received a call from the Tyring- ham ‘and Lee church, Mass., and on the 17th of October of this year he was ordained as the pastor of the church. He labored diligently and faith- fully, and God permitted him to see the rich fruits of his ministerial toil. His ministry was a, short -one. In the spring of 1842 he was forced partially to suspend his work. He preached his last sermon July 30 of this year. For a year or two he lin- gered, a great and constant sufferer. 17, 1844.
