God is perfect and He is holy. He cannot relate to us because of our sins. Blood must be shed to clean us from our sins. without shedding of blood is no remission. Hebrews 9:22b God is a loving, giving God. He sent His Son into the world to die to suffer the punishment for our sins. The blood He gave as He died is what washes away our sins. Once we realize that we cannot be good enough to get to Heaven and ask Jesus to forgive our sins, we belong to God and will go to Heaven when we die. Our God is a giving, loving God. After Jesus gave His life by dying on the cross, God raised Him from the dead to demonstrate His power over death. Anyone who chooses to believe that Christ rose from the dead and that His blood washes away all sins will be saved. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9 God carefully created men and women so that any couple can give each other a taste of the joys of Heaven right here on earth. Few find His path to joy. Instead, they give each other a taste of the punishments of Hell. God has called my wife and me to help people find God’s path to joy in marriage. Our most startling finding in 45+ years of writing about marriage was finding that few women realize that what they need most is for a man to open his heart to her. Men don’t understand women’s desperate need for open-hearted relationships and women have no idea how frightening it is for a man to open his heart. God made marriage simple. In the Internet age, everything has to be short.
