Monetized children are the only old-age pension that the government can’t steal from you. One reason Americans are having so few babies is that having a baby gives the government an 18-year window during which they can trash your family financially, emotionally, and in every other way. It starts, “Women are being harassed and even arrested for making perfectly rational parenting decisions.”The WaPo published a story about parents who were put on the public child abuse registry for letting their kids walk home from a park about a half-mile away on the same side of the street! It cost them much fear and much money to get off the abuse registry.If a government makes raising children too difficult, women will opt out.
