A Dynamic Trio For Growth And Maintenance Ephesians 4:13
“A Dynamic Trio For Growth And Maintenance” “…unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ. ” Ephesians 4: 1 3b
The New Life out of the New Birth is what represents our credentials of Christianity. This is where the dynamic trio comes to our rescue. Without these three active in your life, you cannot live the Christian life. Number One: A Bible Feeding Believer. Without God’s Word being read, the light, food, strength, understanding and will of God will never be received. The strength to maintain God’s ways will be impossible. No wonder Satan labors to keep believers from God’s Word. It is called the “sword of the Spirit” (Eph. 6:17). A daily diet of God’s Word is required to live the Christian life. Number Two: A Walk With God. This includes fellowship and having contact that allows God’s touch in our souls. This walk gives God the opportunity to make Himself real and known. We are uniquely filled with Him when we walk with Him. There is no substitute for God’s touch in the soul. The nine fruits of the Spirit are received when we walk with God (Gal. 5:22-23). Number Three: Church Attendance. Church attendance is more than something nice to do; it is something that must be done. We hear preaching that God uses to speak to our hearts. We find fellowship with other believers and are strengthened. We find a place of service that allows us to express our love for Christ. The identification with God’s people helps us to show our loyalty to Christ. We are organized to do His will and this becomes a powerful, influential expression of God touching us during the service. — D.B.
